Kieran Tierney had some exceptional moments during his time with Celtic. Now, he has revealed his favourite Derby moment during his time with the club.
To many Celtic supporters Kieran Tierney is seen as club legend, and rightfully so. He gave his all to his boyhood club and gave fans plenty of moments to smile about during his time with the Hoops. As it goes, Tierney was sold to English Premier League side Arsenal last year helping fill the club’s coffers.
However, there is one Glasgow Derby moment in particular that really sticks out to Tierney. Speaking with Open Goal on Youtube, Tierney opened up about one particular instance in which Celtic utterly embarrassed Rangers. Here is what the former Celtic leftback had to say:
“The most underrated game in the world for me is when we beat them 5-0 to win the league, that’s not talked about enough.
“That’s the best dream ever. Then we got a flight to Tenerife after it. A private jet, the club had organised it. It was unbelievable, the best.”
Reliving some of the best moments in club history is always fun, even more so when it is with Kieran Tierney. It is fairly rare to have a former player open up to candidly about his former club. But, Celtic is different to Tierney than most former clubs are to other players. Parkhead was his home. And to many, this is still his home.
