Here are three things we learned as Celtic came out on top on Flag Day with a 5-1 win over Hamilton Academical at Parkhead.
With 10IAR on the line this season, Celtic proved that they mean business on Flag Day. It was a blistering display from the Bhoys to sweep past Hamilton Academical 5-1 to kick start their campaign.
Odsonne Edouard was on fire as expected, scoring a hat-trick. Jeremie Frimpong and Patryk Klimala were also found the back of the net. All in all, it was a statement of intent from the Bhoys.
These are three things that we learned from Sunday’s win:
Odsonne Edouard is getting even better
Goals have not been a problem for the Frenchman. But it looks like he is getting even better at getting them. He scored 27 goals last season and this time around he might score even more.
This was not a typical Edouard where he ran through the opposition defences to score screamers. Instead, it was the performance of a goal poacher. His runs into the box were perfect and he always found himself in the right place.
As if he was not already a handful for defenders around the league, the Frenchman is getting even better. And that is a very scary thought for those hoping to stop 10IAR.
HH Yes wee won but I thought wee were slow at times should have scored more goals At the back wee were poor at Corners free kicks coming into our 18yrd box Plus Hamilton
had good chances an other day wee could have scored and how Celtic would react to loosing goals : hh ktf
Defence needs to be stronger. But lets hope we get there soon.
