Celtic loan star set for Parkhead exit in the summer

One Celtic lad is set to leave the club come summer time, after a disappointing run with the club due to a rash of injuries.

Celtic have had their hits and misses with bringing in players to the club whether it be on a permanent deal or on loan. Some of those players who have worked out for the club recently include our big man Christopher Jullien, and Fraser Forster.

However, there is one that has not fared so well and that is Daniel Arzani. The Australian arrived on loan from Manchester City in 2018, but made only two appearances for the Hoops during that time period. Much of the lack of playing time has to do with a torn ACL he suffered.

Many outlets have already declared that Daniel Arzani is unlikely to stick with the Hoops. Mark Schwarzer has gone as far to say that Daniel Arzani joining the Hoops from Manchester City was a ‘mistake’ when speaking on Optus Sports’ Two Sharp Reds podcast over a week ago (thanks to Goal.com for the transcribe):

“It took him a while to even get that opportunity to start in a Celtic side and when he signed for them, I said straight away, ‘I think it’s the wrong move for him’.

“I don’t think Celtic’s style of play suits him; I don’t think it’s the right environment for him to go into to develop as a player. He’s a very gifted technical player, a player that loves to get the ball at his feet and run at opposition, but as a ball-playing player he needs other intelligent players around him.

While there were initially high hopes for the lad, especially with his pedigree. It seems unlikely that he will be able to showcase his capability. At least with Celtic.

While one Bhoy might not have worked out, we still have plenty to cheer on that did! Mon the Hoops!
